อะครีลิค (Acrylic) คือ พลาสติกชนิด Thermoplastic ผลิตจากน้ำยา Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) ด้วยการนำไปหล่อแบบ Casting System อะคริลิคได้ถูกคิดค้นและนิยมนำมาใช้แทนแก้วและกระจกเพราะมีรูปร่างลักษณะคล้ายคลึงกัน แต่ทนทานและเสี่ยงต่อการแตกหักน้อยกว่าแก้วและกระจก อีกทั้งอะคริลิคยังมีคุณสมบัติพิเศษ คือเมื่อได้รับความร้อนสูงจะอ่อนตัวจนสามารถดัดขึ้นรูป ได้ตามต้องการ เมื่อทิ้งให้เย็นตัวลงจะแผ่นพลาสติกอะคริลิคจะแข็งตัวและคงสภาพดังรูปทรงที่ดัดไว้ สามารถนำมาประยุกต์งานได้หลากหลายและผลิตเป็นของใช้ต่างๆ ได้มากมาย อาทิ เครื่องประดับ กรอบรูป  ชั้นวางโชว์   ป้ายโฆษณา  กล่องไฟ และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย
